Boxing

The Cork Sports Boxing Programme focuses on increasing participation in the Sport of Boxing through supporting new club start ups and coach education for the new clubs identified through the Cork County Boxing Board. The Cork Sports Partnership, an initiative of the Irish Sports Council and the Cork County Boxing Board have been supporting this Programme since late 2009. 7 Boxing Clubs have been established since the start of the programme with over 200 children of all ages and abilities participating in the Programme with the new clubs.
The Cork Sports Partnership have supported the establishment of 7 new Boxing Clubs in Cork:
  1. Ballincollig Boxing Club
  2. Spartan Boxing Club, Ballyphehane
  3. Carrigaline Boxing Club
  4. Mayfield Boxing Club
  5. Bantry Boxing Club
  6. Dunmanway Boxing Club
  7. Jack Doyle Boxing Club, Cobh
