Children’s Officer Course


This workshops is being run specifically for designated Childrens Officers within the club, of which there should be at least one. Clubs are encouraged to send 2 representatives to the training, one of which should be the designated Children’s Officer. It is essential that those who wish to attend the training have attended the Irish Sports Council Code of Ethics Basic Awareness/Child Protection Training workshop (at least 4-6 months previously).

A few points

  • The course lasts 6 hours and it's being run over two nights.
  • It is essential that those who wish to attend the training have attended the Code of Ethics Basic Awareness Workshop
  • There are limited places available for the workshops and pre booking is essential as it is on a first come first served basis.
  • Each individual must fill out an application form and return it with fee to the Cork LSP Office to reserve a place on this workshop (we accept payments made by cheque/postal order/cash)
  • All participants must be over 18 years of ages
  • A fee of €25 applies for administrative costs
  • Certificates of attendance are issued on the last night of the course
