Cork Walking Month 2010
Cork Sports Partnership, together with the Cork Walking Forum, the Hillwalking Clubs of Cork, HSE South, Mardyke Arena, Mountaineering Ireland, and Maher Sports, have teamed up to coordinate the first Cork Walking Month of September. The theme for the month is " A Walk for All" and will see 40 organised walks for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels throughout Cork in an effort to promote physical activity through walking.
This years walks have been co-ordinated by the Hillwalking clubs of Cork, Irish Heart Foundation walking leaders and the HSE with the support of Cork Sports Partnership.
The idea behind the walking month is to provide additional opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate in organised walks throughout the month. The variety and levels of the walks for the month vary, so there is a walk for everyone.
Cork Walking Month Brochures are now available from the Sports Partnership or alternatively click below for brochure details.
