    Send all Postal Orders/Cheques to

    N.B: Please DO NOT send cash in the post. Postal Orders or cheques only. Cork Sports Partnership does not accept responsibility for loss of entries or cash during transit.

  3. What is the closing date for entries?

    The closing date for entries is strictly 12 noon on Wednesday 5th of September.

    There will be NO REGISTRATION facility on the weekend of the event.

    Maximum capacity for 2018 is 2,500. Registration will close automatically once this number is reached.

    Entries are strictly on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. NO Exceptions!!

  4. I have entered - What next?

    As a confirmation of registration, you will receive an e-mail with the following:

    a) E-TICKET - Your E-Ticket will be required to Sign In at the Cork Rebel Tour weekend. Sign In will be operated by Scanners. It is compulsory to have your printed bar code in order to get your event number, goody bag and participation in the event.

    b) General information about the event.

    SIGN IN Details: There will be 3 Sign In options for participants in the lead up to the event. Details of which are below..

    At Sign-In, you will receive a Cork Rebel Tour Goodie bag.

    On the day of the event, you will receive refreshments on the route, medical and cycle support services.

  5. What if I can’t make the cycle on the day?

    Unfortunately there is no facility for a refund.

    You can however transfer your entry to another person provided you contact us before Thursday 6th September.

  6. How can I check that I am entered?

    Online entries should receive an email confirmation almost immediately. Postal entrants will receive confirmation email within a couple of days.

    Closer to the event you will receive an information pack which will be sent via email.

    If you do not receive your info pack before Thursday 6th September please contact the Cork Sports Partnership Office on 021 4347096

  7. What time can I sign on and collect my goodie bag?

    If you have availed of the Group/Corporate/Club offer, you are not required to Sign In again. Your Group coordinator will sign in for you.

    Individual Entries: Individual Entries are required to sign-in prior to the event to collect an event number and a goody bag. A friend can sign in for you as long as they have your E-Ticket.

  8. Can I change from one route to another ?

    Cyclists can change between the Rebel Rider 85km and Rebel Challenge 160 km but must notify the organisers when signing in for the event which route they intend taking part in.

  9. What time does my event start?

    The 160k Rebel Challenge will begin at 09:00 SHARP
    The 85k Rebel Rider will begin at 10:00 SHARP

    Please Note: If you start before the Lead Car for your event you will not have event support, food stops or medical support.

    160km Rebel Challenge:

    - FS - Adrigole & Eyeries
    - WS - Healy Pass & Allihies

  11. Is there parking?

    Yes, there will be FREE Parking for the Cork Rebel Tour in Glengarriff.

    Parking spaces are on a first come, first served basis. There is NO PARKING at the Event HQ, Eccles Hotel on the day of the event.

    Please follow the instructions of our Parking Stewards on the morning of the event.

  12. Are there changing and shower facilities?

    Yes, changing, toilet and limited shower facilities will be provided for participants in Glengarriff GAA just outside the town:

    Toilet facilities will be available at the Start/Finish area and at all the Food Stops.

  13. What do I need to bring with me?

    A hard shell helmet is compulsory for every participant.

    Don’t forget your bike, spare tube, pump and gear. We would advise each participant to bring some additional food and water.

    There are food stops on the routes. Please also keep an eye on the weather forecast so that you can prepare for the day. (sunblock, rain gear etc.)

  14. What first-aid facilities will be available on the day?

    First aid will be provided on the day by the Irish Red Cross. You will be provided with an Emergency number to call in the event of an Medical Emergency.

    You will also be provided with a Breakdown Number in the event your Bike breaks down. These Service Vehicles will help you with minor mechanical difficulties where possible.

    In the event that the Service Vehicles are unable to fix your bike, you will be escorted to the nearest check point where you can arrange a spin back to event HQ.

  15. what is the entry fee?

    There are a number of registration options available for 2018 including Early Bird, Group, Corporate, OAP, Unwaged and Student offers.

  16. Can I transfer my entry to another person?

    Yes, we will facilitate transfer of entries to another person before September 5th 2018, free of charge. No transfers available after this date.

    All participant's details are required for the sake of health and safety of the participant during the cycling.

  17. Group & Club Bookings

    Clubs & Group Bookings of 15+ participants will be facilitated by the Cork Sports Partnership.

  18. Who organises the Cork Rebel Tour?

    The Cork Rebel Tour is organised by Cork Sports Partnership with support from local community groups and organisations in Cork.

    Cork Sports Partnership is an initiative of Sport Ireland established to support, develop and promote participation in sport and physical activity in Cork.
