Get Active Challenge

Get fit for the summer and get involved in the 'Get Active 6 Week Challenge'.


The Get Active Challenge is a community based initiative that is run by Cork Sports Partnership and local community sport and recreational facilities. It aims to give people that extra push to get active and live a healthier lifestyle through regular exercise and tips on healthy eating. This 6 Week Challenge will be run in your local community sports centre/recreational park and will be facilitated by your very own personal trainer. This trainer will work closely with you for 2-3 sessions weekly over the 6 weeks. The Get Active Challenge is taking place in the Following Communites commencing the week of the 1st of May:

  • • Kilshannig GAA Sports Complex: Commencing May 9th  7pm – 8pm & 8pm – 9pm and will run on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
  • Doneraile Park: Commencing May 1st 7.30pm – 8.30pm and will run every Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Places on the programme are limited so you are advised to apply early, and you can do so by contacting the Cork Sports Partnership on 021 4665083 or emailing churley@corksports.ie. Alternatively you can download an application form & flyer below and return it to the: Cork Sports Partnership, Yeats HOuse, Barrack Square, Ballincollig, Cork prior to the challenge commencing.

The Get Active Challenge is designed to encourage participation in exercise and physical activity in a fun and supportive environment.
