Do you want a healthier lifestyle for your family? Come along to WELLCOMM- Well Communities Connect FREE Event which takes place on January 12th in Terence MacSwiney College, Cork. This is the perfect way to get your 2019 off to a healthy start.

The main partners for this event are Terence McSwiney College, Cork Sports Partnership, Young Knocknaheeny, Foroige, Niche and Cork Kerry Community Healthcare Community Work and Primary Care Services.

The event will include free screenings for blood pressure and diabetes, a free café providing tea and coffee, music creation, art, Gamelan Music Workshop, mindfulness yoga, Get Into Walking Workshop and much more! Activities will take place in the school, the Cork City Library and the Terence MacSwiney Gym Hall.

The START Campaign Activator will also be present on the day. The START campaign is a five year public health awareness campaign from safefood, the HSE, and Healthy Ireland.

The campaign promotes healthier lifestyles for families with children aged between 6 months and 12 years. It is a campaign created with parents for parents and recognises that making healthier choices is not easy. It encourages parents to make one daily win and stick with it. Parenting is tough but you are tougher.

START staff will be at WELLCOMM and with an active centre for adults and children with quizzes and activities galore and perhaps a prize or 2 for those willing to do some jumping jacks. For those of you willing to start to create a healthier lifestyle for you and your family visit: safefood.eu

For free workshop registration please visit thewellbeingnetwork.ie/wellcomm or drop in on the day.
