Protecting Our Community - A Call to Action
‘Protecting our Community A Call to Action’ is an awareness programme on road safety for adults which is made up of a resource pack and accompanying DVD. It is based on the rules of the road and aims to change the attitudes and behaviour of pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers.
Core topics covered include: Speed and speeding, Road user impairment, Unsafe behaviour towards and by vulnerable road users, safety belts, child restraints and safety on buses and the emergency services.
Each topic is presented as a thirty minute ‘session plan’ which can be delivered to the community groups. Sessions are highly interactive and activity based. A purpose built DVD has been designed to accompany the programme.

Mobility Matters: (Road Safety Programme for older people)
Mobility Matters is an awareness programme on road safety for older people which is made up of a resource pack and an accompanying DVD. The programme deals with the following topics of information buying a car, driving safety: knowing what is happening around you, bus safety, pedestrian safety, cycle safety, safety belts and child restraints, medicines, driver fatigue etc.
This programme is developed over a 2 hour workshop. Sessions are highly interactive and activity based.
The RSA can run a free ‘train the trainer’ session for trainers involved in older groups in the community.
