Description: Bring your bike to The Lough. A fun celebration of cycling culture in Cork & a free BBQ! After the BBQ we’ll have a relaxed social evening in the pleasant surroundings of the Lough as well as some bike games.

The Tune Trail 2023

Description:Get on the scene! Be Safe – Be Seen! Cyclists are encouraged to dress up in their most colourful oufits – the more outrageous, the better! And bling your bikes to the max – fairy lights, bike lights, reflective gear. The Tune Trail will stop at a couple of parks en route, for a break, chat and a dance! Playlist will be downloadable before the event – bring your bluetooth speakers – we’ll all press play at the same time! Tune Trail begins as ‘Rainbow Picnic at the Pairc’ (run by Cork City Council) finishes in Marina Park. We will encourage a cross over of participants from that event to join us on Tuna Trail.

Fix Your Bike Workshop

Meeting Point: Cork Community Bikes, Assumption Rd, Blackpool

Who: Adults & Families

Description: This special Fix Your Bike session will allow people to learn how to fix their bikes with the help of mechanics from Cork Community Bikes. Guided rides to the workshop will leave Cork Opera House at 1.45pm and 3pm. Mechanics will run through full bike checks with you, and a limited amount of small parts will be offered for free for repairs. Refreshments provided

Fix Your Brakes Taster (Disc Type)

Meeting Point: Cork Community Bikes, Assumption Rd, Blackpool

Who: Adults

Description: Introduction session on brakes, and will give a better understanding of how these should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used.

Kinsale Tri Club 20k Skills Spin & Maintenance Demo
