 Bike Doctor & Cycle to Passage
Date & Time: Wed, 18th May @ 1.30pm (Bike Doctor 12.30pm)

Meeting Point: Fitzgerald’s Park

Who: Those capable of competent road cycling and covering short/medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes

Description: A cycle out to Passage out the old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic in Passage before beginning the journey back to the city.

Bike Week Cork Big Lunchtime Picnic With Games

Description: A free social cyclist picnic in Fitzgerald’s park with bike games, bike doctor and a free picnic lunch

Leisure Cycle to Kilcrea Abbey
Date & Time: Wed, 18th May @ 10am

Meeting Point: Opera House 

Who: 50km suitable for active adult cyclists. Refreshments will provided during the cycle

Description: Leaving from the city on Corks Cycle paths, passing the Kinsley Hotel using the cycle path to Model Farm Road, St. Olivers Cemetery, visit Rory Gallaghers Grave and onwards to Kilcrea Abbey to Rooves Bridge. Coffee in Griffins Garden Centre. Return to the City via the cycle path through Ballincollig Park

Bike Week Cork Wild Walks of Cork Cycle 
Date & Time: Wed, 18th May @ 7pm

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Those capable of competent road cycling and covering short/medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes

Description: In collaboration with biodiversity week. A guided tour of the nature and wildlife to be found living in on and around old walls in Cork city centre.

Midleton Bicycle Tyre & Tube Maintenance Workshop
Date & Time: Wed, 18th May @ 6.30-7.30pm

Meeting Point: The Baby’s Walk, Midleton

Who: Ages 18+

Description: Participants will be shown by a qualified bike mechanic how to do the following and given an opportunity to practice same. Individual kits its will be provided to use & participants can take these away with them. Check condition of tyres, Appropriate Air Pressure, pumping your tyres, Wheel removal, Tyre Removal, Tube Check for a puncture. Puncture repair or tube replacement, Re assemble

Taster Session: Fix Your Wheels
Date & Time: Wed, 18th May @ 6.30pm

Meeting Point: Cork Community Bikes, Assumption Road, Blackpool

Who: Families & Adults

Description: An intro session on wheels, this will give a better understanding of how these should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used
