Bike Week Cork Cycle to Mullinavasigh Waterfall
Date & Time: Sun, 15th May @ 10.50am

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Those capable of competent road cycling and covering short/medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes

Description: A cycle out to Mullinavasigh Waterfall out through Ballincollig Regional Park old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic at the Waterfall before beginning the journey back to the city. Longer faster cycle.

An Oige Leisure Cycle to Haulbowline Park
Date & Time: Sun, 15th May @ 10am

Meeting Point: Opera House 

Who: 45km suitable for active adult cyclists. Refreshments will provided during the cycle

Description: Cycle to Amenity Park Ringaskiddy, Coffee stop at Perry Street Café, Ringaskiddy, Return via Carrigaline, Douglas. Refreshments will provided during the cycle.

 Skibbereen Cycle Routes – Baltimore Loop

Meeting Point: Meeting on The Bridge (Levis’s Quay), Main St, Skibbereen

Who: Over 16s

Description: A low paced cycle with lots of stops on the designated and signed Failte Ireland Skibbereen route 2. Taking a break in Baltimore for tea and snacks. Duration 2-5pm

Description: Sunset cycle around a selection of the live music free at various locations in the city with stops to hear a few tunes at each stop!

The Bike Circus Clonakilty – Cycle The River Event

Description: Cycle-the-River. All ages cycle along a short section of the Argideen River. We will be stopping at 2 locations to identify insects in the rivers and take water samples to find out about the health of our local river. Total cycle less than 4km

Description: A quiet ride to Rochestown, total distance 12km, with a refreshment break. Planned return to the Marina at 4pm.

Meeting Point: Cork Community Bikes, Blackpool

Who: Families & Adults

Description: Seasoned cyclists from Cork Community Bikes will share their advice on what to look for in a bike and what to avoid, considerations for finding a bike that will match your needs, and how to make sure that riding is comfortable for you. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and ask for specific advice.

Description: Bike demos including safety tips, proper bike fitting and promotion of cycling routes in the area.

Inniscarra Safe Cycling
Date & Time: Sun, 15th May @ 10am-12pm

Meeting Point: Inniscarra Community Centre

Who: Families & Adults

Description: A children’s cycling event  within the grounds of Inniscarra Community Centre with safe cycling tutors available to instruct the children on safe methods cycling. John McCarthy cycles will run a bike maintenance workshop for those present. Electric bikes will be on show and demonstrated by McCarthy cycles

Cork Cycling Campaign Lee 2 Sea Water Run
Date & Time: Sun, 15th May @ 9am

Meeting Point: Inniscarra Dam to Crosshaven, via the city centre.

Route: 9am Inniscarra Sailing & Kayak Club – 10am Ballincollig Regional Park – 11am Fitzgerald’s Park – 12pm Blackrock – 1pm Passage West – 2pm Carrigaline – 3pm Crosshaven

Who: All welcome as each leg of the route will done in a cycle bus formation. 

Description: To promote the Lee 2 Sea Greenway, Cork Cycling Campaign (with support vehicle) will be carrying water in a container from the Inniscarra dam to the sea in Crosshaven.
