Table Tennis Teacher Training Award
Munster Branch Table Tennis Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership are now taking registrations for the Teachers’ Award Coaching Course.
The Teachers’ Award is a Table Tennis Ireland initiative aimed at providing a practical introduction to table tennis as well as ideas for coaching activities at schools, clubs or services.
The course is scheduled to run in the Terence MacSwiney Sports Hall, Knocknaheeny, Cork City, between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm on Friday 4 October. The course will be run by Jing Yi Graham, Table Tennis Ireland’s Women in Sport Coordinator and a senior coach. The cost per person is €30.00 and certification is provided by Table Tennis Ireland.

The Teachers Award Course will provide participants with the knowledge to:
- Introduce players to the basic skills of table tennis in a fun and exciting way
- Have the creativity and confidence to deliver table tennis sessions to students.
- Make the skills activities easier or harder for different ability levels
- For schools, identify where table tennis can be introduced to the school curriculum

Steps involved in the Application Process |

Step 1: Club/Schools/Services register to participate in the Teachers’ Award Course by completing the course registration form. Step 2: Registration will be acknowledged by Cork Sports Partnership following closing date Step 3: Successful applicants will be contacted by Cork Sports Partnership to confirm acceptance on to the course. Remaining applicants will be contacted and placed on a waiting list for future courses. Step 4: School teacher/club or service coach delivers regular basic table tennis activities in own premises/location. |
