EWOS Cork Events

Cork Sports Partnership is delighted to announce that the following FREE public flagship events will take place across Cork City and County from the 23rd-30th September 2020 as part of the European Week of Sport.

Events include family fun orienteering, guided walks, children's athletics come & try events, face to face and online activity taster sessions, online workshops as well as over 60 cycling events as part of Cork Bike Week .


Sport 2020 EWOS Cork Events


Cork Sports Partnership in conjunction with Bishopstown Orienteering Club are hosting 5 Family Fun Come & Try Orienteering Events during the European Week of Sport! 

These beginners routes are a great introduction for families looking to try orienteering!

To adhere to current government and public health guidelines for physical distancing, families will receive an event information pack email & allocated a specific start timeslot within their selected hour prior to the event.

Cork Rebel Ramble

The Cork Rebel Ramble takes place on Sunday 27th September in Millstreet as part of National Walking Day and European Week of Sport. This event is for people who are new to hillwalking or coming back to the sport and want to learn some of the skills that will help them enjoy hillwalking from experienced guides introduce in a safe and supportive environment.

Youghal Community Walks

Youghal Active Retirement Group is organising a number of historic walks of Youghal town as part of this year's European Week of Sport.

Free Family Swims

To celebrate the European Week of Sport Cork Sports Partnership in partnership with Leisureworld have organised Free Family Swims in their centres in Churchfield and Bishopstown on the following dates:

West Muskerry A.C Athletics Sports Day

West Muskerry AC is hosting a children's fun athletics day as part of European Week of Sport. The event will provide participants with the opportunity to try different events in athletics including; Long Jump, Turbo Javelin, Sprinting, Middle Distance Running, Shot Putt, Discus, Circuit Training & Relays. 

The day is for children aged 5 to 13 years.

Cork Sports Partnership is organising an online Men on the Move programme taster session as part of the European Week of Sport.
