EWOS Cork Events

Cork Sports Partnership is delighted to announce that the following public flagship events will take place across Cork City and County from the 23rd-30th September 2021 as part of the European Week of Sport.

Events include family fun orienteering, guided walks, online workshops, social soccer and much much more!

FAMILY ORIENTEERING EVENTS

Cork Sports Partnership in conjunction with Bishopstown Orienteering Club are hosting 2 Family Fun Come & Try Orienteering Events during the European Week of Sport! 

These beginners routes are a great introduction for families, groups or individuals looking to try orienteering! Participants can start anytime between the below timeslots!

Womens Come & Try Table Tennis

Cork Sports Partnership and Munster Table Tennis are delighted to host a Womens 'Come & Try' Table Tennis session as part of the European Week of Sport 2021!

This taster session aim to provide an opportunity for women to play table tennis in a fun and suportive environment. They will be led by qualified and experienced coaches from Leeside Table Tennis Club! Bring a friend and join us on the 30th Sept!

Women's Social Soccer

Cork Sports Partnership & FAI have teamed up to roll out a New Women's 6 Week Social Soccer Programme this September. The aim of the programme is to introduce women to the sport of soccer through a fun and sociable sessions while focusing on fun and fitness in a supported environment.

Walking Football

FAI, Cork City Council, UCC & Cork Sports Partnership are delighted to host FREE Walking Football sessions in the Mardyke Sports Grounds.

Focused mainly on men and women aged over 50, participants walk rather than run, and the game is designed to help participants increase or maintain fitness, and can add to a healthy lifestyle. Health benefits aside, the game provides participants with the opportunity to socialise with people of a similar age, and for many, they meet people who they have may have played football with or against in the past.

Launch of NEW MapRun Orienteering courses In Youghal Town

Cork Sports Partnership in conjunction with Youghal Community Health Project, Cork County Council & Irish Orienteering Association are delighted to launch a new MapRun Orienteering course for Youghal Town.

Consisting of 6 routes of varying lenghts, virtual orienteering is a fun way for people of all ages and abilities to get more active, improve fitness and explore the beautiful town of Youghal!

Kayaking with West Cork Kayaking Club

Get on the water for the European Week of Sport! Come and try kayaking with West Cork Kayaking Club who will introduce you to the sport in a safe and supported environment!

These events aim to provide an opportunity for all to enjoy a paddling experience regardless of your ability!

Session 1:

Paddle for those who have had or are living with a cancer diagnosis.
