Move More Walking Workshop

This 1.5 hour workshop is designed for adults who would like to increase their activity levels through walking. It is especially suitable for beginners or those who are currently inactive.  The aim of the workshop is to show participants how to get the maximum health benefits from walking.

Areas covered:

  • Health benefits of walking
  • Advice on Posture, Technique, Stretching, Intensity, clothing, etc.
  • Exercises to enhance Balance, Mobility, FleIibility, and Strength
  • Looking at the main components and purpose of a walking session
  • Advice on safety issues and equipment for walking

A short walk will take place after the workshop (weather dependant) This will be suitable for beginners and adults of all fitness levels.
