A Moment For Me

Cork Sports Partnership in partnership with The Crann Centre aim to support parents of children with additional needs during Covid 19. 

‘A Moment for Me’ will provide parents with an Online WellBeing Programme focusing on self care. It will be delivered in a safe space to explore the challenges you are currently facing, identify techniques to deal with stressors and build a toolbox for success and positive wellbeing. 

  • 4 Week Online Wellbeing Programme
  • Led by Qualified and Experienced Tutors (see details below)
  • Faciliated via Zoom 
  • Delivered 1 session per week (Weekday & Weekend Options Available)

This programme was developed after gathering feedback from parents, which highlighted over 93 % would be interested in taking part in a Wellbeing Programme. This is to support taking a moment for you as a parent, and looking after your health and wellbeing during Covid 19. 

 

Meet The Tutors: 

We are proud to welcome Colette Cahill and Patricia McCarthy to tutor and faciliate this Online Wellbeing Programme. Get to know the tutors below: 

Colette Cahill

  • Colette works as Head of Services with the Crann centre in Ballincollig. She started her career specialising in both Intellectual Disability and Children's Nursing. She has over 25 years’ experience working with individuals and families in relation to disability with extensive knowledge in the areas of clinical, educational, family support and psychological needs. Over the years Colette’s experience has shown her first-hand the selfless care parents and carers provide for their loved ones. It was through this experience the ‘A Moment for Me’ programme was born.  She is an experienced Trainer and Facilitator. She also holds a diploma in Neurodevelopmental Therapy and Johansen IAS as well as a BSc in Counselling Psychotherapy. 

 Patricia McCarthy

  • Patricia has over 10 years’ experience working as a counsellor combined with several years’ experience as a HR Generalist in the private, public and voluntary sectors.  Her breadth of experience enables her to move from practical organisational approaches to fun and creative solutions to helping people learn.  She has practical experience of helping people with disabilities achieve employment and prospects. Patricia is an experienced trainer delivering courses geared towards people with disabilities and their families. Her educational background includes a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  She is also a member of CIPD.
