Get Autism Active  2018

Cork Sports Partnership, UCC & HSE Health Action Zone are delighted establish an 8 Week Fundamental Movement Programme for children and adults with ASD. 

The programme will be delivered by fully qualified tutors and will focus on the Fundamental Movements skills such as running, jumping, throwing etc.

Participants will be assessed on week one. Each week participants will work on developing & improving these skills during the 35 minute session.

Get Autism Active is an Online Programme researched and developed by Dr. Susan Crawford. Susan is a researcher and lecturer with in the field of Autistic Spectrum Disorders particularly related to Sport & Excercise Science and Physical Education. Her passion in this field stems from being the mother of a young man with autism. 

Get Autism Active is committed to inclusive practice and development of opportunity particularly for children and adults with diverse needs. Our objectives are to attain equality of access for all especially in the areas of skill development, education and health.  Our specialty area of expertise and research includes fundamental movement skill development for children and adults with autism and Health related research across the lifespan.
