Men's Shed Walking Initative

Get Ireland Walking is currently rolling out its Mens Shed Walking Initaitive across the country. The project steered by Get Ireland Walking, Sport Ireland, Healthy Ireland and The Mens Shed Association and supported locally by Cork Sports Partnership seeks to increase participation levels in walking across Mens Shed Groups in Cork.

The format of the workshops is to discuss the importance of walking, try a number of walking activities on the day such as Noridc Pole Walking, Fitwalking, walking using stepcounters etc, before finishing up with a discussion on how Mens Sheds can actively increase their participation in walking going forward.
