National Play Day 2020


As part of National Play Day on July 4th, Cork Sports Partnership through the Lets Play Cork Initative and members of ULG are supporting a number of initatives across the Cork City and County to celebrate Play. The Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration, Roderic O'Gorman TD,  announced National Play Day 2020 will take place on Saturday 4 July under the theme of Playful Communities, Playful Homes.

Cork Sports Partnership are encouraging local communities, agencies and organisations to celebrate Play and get behind the campaign #LetsPlayCork

With the support of Healthy Ireland and the local Playful Paradigm in Cork, The Lets Play Cork Initiative has brought play activities and supports to over 200 families across Cork City and County over the last 3 months.

As part of National Play Day this Saturday we are celebrating all things Play in Cork:

  •  Community Play Streets- Tuckey Street, Cork City.
  •  Cork City Libraries- FREE Family Play Packs at your local Librar.y
  •  Direct Provision Supports- Play Packs for families.
  •  Play Ideas & Activities

Along with the national LetsPlayIreland campaign we are encouraging people to celebrate Play at home or in their communities this Saturday!  Make sure you check out the other resources and ideas on this website to get you and your family invovled in Play this National Play Day.
