Adults, of all fitness levels, from the Lough and surrounding areas are invited to come along and join the Lough walking group.  To join the group we would be grateful if you can register in advance by contacting Cork Sports Partnership on 021 4347096. There is no join-up fee. However, participants are asked to come early on the first night as they will need to register.

Following the very successful 100 Days of Walking Campaign at the Lough on day 50 in February and day 100 in April, people expressed an interest in having a sustainable group to walk with on a weekly basis. Cork Sports Partnership and the HSE South Health Promotion and Improvement Dept. have been supporting walking groups across Cork for the last number of years. Claire Hurley, Programme’s Manager with Cork Sports Partnership said, “It’s really good to see the interest and enthusiasm from people who took part in the 100 Days of Walking Challenge. We are inviting people of any fitness level and over the age of 18 to join us. Many people need that extra bit of encouragement to go for a walk; being part of a group can often give you that extra push to put on your walking shoes and get out and about for the summer”. This group aims to do just that in a fun and sociable way."

For further details about joining the group, please contact Cork Sports Partnership on 021 4347096.
