RFT - Active Cities Marketing & Communications

The Active City LSPs through Cork Sports Partnership wish to engage an agency to facilitate the development of marketing and communications services that will serve to launch and promote the Active Cities Initiative in Ireland.

The appointed agency will have responsibility for developing and coordinating the roll out of a national communications campaign to launch the initiative. The agency will advise on how best to articulate key messages and the most effective tools to deliver these messages. 

This will include:

  • Development of an Active City logo that will reflect the national scope of the initiative as well as resonate with local city level needs. Logo to be adapted to city level i.e. Active Cork City
  • Development and delivery of Active City brand messaging including concept and theme that will relate to the general public and give the Active Cities initiative a cohesive look and feel while setting the scene for what is to come locally at city level.
  • Coordination of a national launch campaign for the project including tools and timelines for delivery of key brand messaging. This will include responsibility for the overall communications plan to ensure a coordinated, timely and consistent message from each LSP involved.
  • Coordination of a national photo launch of the project in Ireland in conjunction with LSPs, Sport Ireland & relevant partners. (including all photography and video requirements)
  • Identification and creation of PR opportunities to promote the campaign, taking a proactive approach with national and local media as appropriate.
  • Development of a marketing communications toolkit or other mechanism to empower LSPs and partner organisations to promote projects undertaken at city level. This will include creative, design, planning, digital and production of all campaign assets.
  • Provision of stock physical activity images for use by LSPs to promote their Active City.
  • Development of an Active City promotional video to help LSPs create awareness of the project and increase project momentum at city level.
  • Reporting on activity undertaken as part of the national communications campaign including; media coverage, social media reach and engagement etc.
  • Liaise with the Marketing subgroup of Active City LSPs, or National Coordinator once in place, regarding deliverables and key project milestones.
  • Research other Active City projects.
