Course Update 2017:

Bantry Bay Sailing Club played host to both ISA Powerboating/Safety Boat training and ICU Sit on Top Sea Skills Courses in July. A total of 11 participants took part in the courses. Currenlty only Bere Island and Heir Island have access to sailing courses/programmes while Cape Clear hosts a recreational canoe/kayaking club for local participants. In this regard participants attended the courses to gain knowledge and recieve expert tuition and guidance in terms of implementing structures and standards locally following both the ISA and ICU certified courses.

Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre provided the instructor to deliver the ICU Level 2 Sit on Top Sea Skills on Saturday 15th  and Sunday 16th of July. During the week of July 3rd 5 participants took part in the National Powerboat Certificate and Safety Boat Certificate with the ISA. Special thanks goes to Bantry Bay Sailing Club who are always open to sharing their facilites with the Sports Hub for these courses and programmes.
