Cork Walking Events 2019

Thousands of people are taking to Twitter to pledge to walk for 30 minutes per day, for 100 days, initiated by Newstalks Lunchtime Live's Ciara Kelly. Join Ciara and get walking. Don't panic if you missed the start, it will still be worth your while. Start 2019 with a positive purpose and who knows what other changes you'll make between now and April 10th! 

Wednesday April 10th will mark day 100  of the challenge. The Cork Sports Partnership are supporting the event and encouraging the Cork public to get out and 'go walking'. Walking is the the most easily accessible physical activity you can do for your health and in Cork we have no shortage of groups, routes, tracks and trails to get out and go walking! So come along on Wednesday next April 10th and mark day 100!

Details of the event:

Date & Time: Wednesday April 10th @ 6.30pm

Venue/Route: The Lough (30min walk approx) The Lough is a circular loop of 1.1k approx. Its a flat easy walk accessible to all fitness levles. Visability maybe poor as its still winter so please bring any high visability clothing you may have. Directions and map of the route is >> HERE << 

Meeting point: The Hawthorn Bar- please arrive early before 6.30pm! 

Parking: There is on street parking but we have permisson to use the gounds of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Lough Road, Lough. Click here for map.  Its about a 3 min walk to the Lough.
