Walking Challenges

Here are some challenges from our partners Get Ireland Walking, and the Irish Heart Foundation to encourage us all with our daily walking and movement.

Walking can be incorporated into your day, whether it is for pleasure and some time for yourself or as part of your journey to work. 

You can begin either challenge at any time, and they can be done at a pace that suits you.

Cork Sports Partnership are delighted to team up with Get Ireland Walking and the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) for the 21 Day Walking Challenge! 

The aim of this challenge is to increase the number of people walking throughout Ireland with the view of boosting overall health and wellbeing! A challenge where anyone can take part, this is a fun way to build positive lifestyle habits. In just 3 weeks you will have created a life changing habit that will help maximise your health. Why not get your family involved?

The 21 Day Walking Challenge asks you to walk at least once a day for 21 days in a row. Aim for 30 minutes or more per day. This can be done in smaller chunks throughout the day. Click here for more info

 

The Move More Walking Challenge is an easy to follow six-week exercise programme aimed to help everyone move more.

Cork Sports Partnership are thrilled to partner with the Irish Heart Foundation for the Move More Walking Challenge!

Throughout this 6 week challenge we want to help you to progressively increase your activity levels resulting in you reaching the National Physical Activity Guidelines of 10,000 steps per day. This enjoyable challenge will assist you to make walking a habit and enhance your health and wellness.
