We Are Cork Summer Youth Challenge

Cork Sports Partnership are delighted to support a new and exciting challenge for young people across Cork City and County over the summer months. The We are Cork Summer Youth Challenge organised by Cork City Council and Cork ETB is an initiative developed in response to COVID-19 and the fact that many of the summer camps, programmes, and activities have been cancelled. Cork Sports Partnership, Music Generation and Cork City Arts Office and Libraries have come on board to host and support challenges with exciting resources and live online workshops.

We Are Cork Youth Challenge is a unique summer programme, to give young people (13-18), the opportunity to showcase existing skills, learn or experience something new. Young people will experience challenges across 6 themes

  • Music
  • Arts
  • Society
  • Environment
  • Sport
  • Technology

There will be 30 challenges, with young people completing 20. This gives them the option to choose or take a pick and mix approach.  The overall aim is participation, engagement and fun. It is not a competition.  Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a special edition, commemorative Lord Mayors Medal and there will be IPads for commended efforts under any particular Challenge theme.

  • The challenge will run from June 23rd - August 20th 2020.
