Women's Try-A-Triathlon

    

Triathlon Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership are delighted to announce three Cork Club venues for the NEW Women in Sport Try-a-Tri Programme 2020. These 6 week programmes will begin on the week starting the 16th March culmunating with a Try-a-Tri event on Sun, 26th April 2020 in Leisureworld Bishopstown. The cost per participant is €50 which includes a Triathlon Ireland Training Licence, 12 training sessions (2 sessions per week) two Traithlon Ireland Training days, swim hat and finishers t-shirt. 

If you have never participated in a triathlon before, this is your chance! Take part in a structured training programme alongside your local triathlon club with experienced coaches in a fun atmosphere. At the end of the programme you will have the chance to take part in a Try-a-Tri event; take on the challenge of a pool based swim, cycle and run. You'll be supported all the way through the programme and the event. It is your chance to challenge yourself, make new friends and become part of the growing sport that is Triathlon in 2020. This is the Sport. Now is the Time.

Programme Details:
  • Requirements: All participants must be able to swim 50m and have a safe working bike & helmet
  • Duration: 6 weeks (12 sessions, 2 sessions per week) 2 x Triathlon Ireland led transition training days, a Try A Tri Event
  • Whats included? Triathlon Ireland Training Licence, 12 training sessions, 2 Transition sessions, swim hat and finishers t-shirt
  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Cost: €50pp

Step by Step Process
Step 1: 

Click the red register now button in the table above which will take you to Triathlon Ireland's website

Step 2:

Create a profile and register for your chosen club venue & date, which includes: 6 week programme (12+ sessions) Triathlon Ireland training licence, entry to Try-a-Tri event on Sun, 26th April, t-shirt and hat.

Step 3:

Cork Sports Partnership will email each participant with an programme information pack prior to the programme commencing 

Step 4:

Your chosen Triathlon Club will welcome all new participants on the first session and run through the 6 week itinery. Training begins!!

Step 5:

As part of the programme Triathlon Ireland will host two additonal central transition training days on Sun, 29th March & Sun, 19th April in Leisureworld Bishopstown from 10.30-12.30pm for all participants.

Step 6:

The culmunating Try-a-Tri event will take place on Sun, 26th April in Leisureworld Bishopstown and consist of a 300m swim, 11km cycle and 4km run! This is only open to those who particiapted in the 6 week programme

Step 7:

Photos on the finishing line!! Smile and be proud of your acheivements!!

Pathway to joining a club will be provided and club memberships offered
