Community Play Bags

The community play bag is a community resource that supports schools, community groups and organisations in hosting community events such as: school play days, family fun days, community play days, school play streets and similar community events.  The bags are available for schools, community groups and organisations to borrow from libraries across Cork City

Who can borrow a community play bag?

  • Local schools, community groups and organisations that have registered with the Cork Sports Partnership (using the form below) can avail of the play bag.
  • It is the responsibility of the local schools, community groups and organisations to collect and return the community play bag to the local library.

Steps involved in borrowing the community play bag

Step 1. Local schools, community groups and organisations can register their interest in borrowing a bag by filling out the application form and selecting their local library.

Step 2. Registration will be acknowledged by Cork Sports Partnership (CSP) and the relevant information passed to the library.

Step 3. The school, group or organisation can then contact their local library to arrange to borrow the play bag.  Please note the group will need to take out library membership if they do not already have it.

Step 4. The play bags will be loaned out on a first come first served basis.
