Volunteer Support Workshops

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting people of all ages and abilities in our communities to get and stay active.

Cork Sports Partnership has teamed up with the Cork Volunteer Centre to host a number of FREE volunteer support workshops and training sessions over the coming months to help volunteers, clubs, groups and community organisations maximise their volunteer programme across a number of key areas including;

  • Volunteer Strategy & Recruitment
  • Volunteer Support, Supervision and Recognition
  • Supporting Volunteers with Additional Support Needs
  • Dealing with Difficult Behaviour
  • Garda Vetting
  • Social Media for Clubs and Community Groups.

The current environment has placed considerable pressure on the community and voluntary sector and the ever-changing circumstances mean that administering volunteering roles, responsibilities and opportunities is adapting all the time.

These workshops and training sessions seek to support the many individuals, organisations and agencies that involve volunteers across Cork communities.
