Cycle Cork Cycling Festivals Cycle To The Sea
Multi modal leisure cycle using the train to Midleton to meet with the cycle to the sea organisation for a presentation on their greenway sculptures

Postcards From The Saddle Bike Ride
A creative guided journey with chances to sketch, illustrate and write postcards on a tour of Cork City. Led by illustrator Luna Fox. All materials provided and suitable for all ages.

Bike Week Olympics Fun & Games Picnic
A fun play focussed event aimed particularly and children and families but open to all to discover their fun side. A social picnic will be accompanied by fun bike games such as a slow race obstacle course etc.

Bike Week Opening Night Midnight Cycle Of Lights 
A fun slow & social bike parade to open bike week along the cycle lanes of the city centre with lights to light the dark.

Time:  11:30pm-1:30am

Suitability: All will be shorter, slower route and so be particularly suited to less confident cyclists

 eBike Morning Magic: Youghal to Midleton Farmer’s Market
Join Youghal Bike Hire for a relaxed and scenic ride with eBike Morning Magic—a guided tour from Youghal to Midleton, where you’ll discover the joy of electric bikes. This tour takes you along the picturesque MY Greenway, where you’ll cruise through the stunning rural landscape with minimal effort, thanks to the power of e-bikes. Our expert local guides will lead the way as we cycle from Youghal to the Midleton Farmer’s Market. Along the way, you’ll pass through short sections of road as we head towards the Greenway trailhead in Youghal and again as we approach the Market. You’ll have plenty of chances to take in the views, snap some photos, and hear fascinating stories about the history and hidden gems of the area. This tour is suitable for those with basic cycling experience. While the e-bikes make the journey easier, there are short stretches of road, so participants should be comfortable with urban cycling. All e-bikes and safety gear are provided—just bring your curiosity! Pre-booking is essential, and spaces are limited.

Bike Week Cycle To Passage
A cycle out to Passage out the old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic in Passage before beginning the journey back to the city.

Trike It Out! – Try a Trike on the Greenway
Ever wanted to try a trike? Now’s your chance! Midleton Greenway Bike Hire are bringing their fleet of adult, teen, and kid’s trikes to the MY Greenway for two special Bike Week pop-up events. Whether you’re curious about the comfort of three wheels, looking for a confidence-boosting cycling option, or just up for a bit of fun — hop on and give it a go! At Midleton Trailhead – cycle out 2km to Roxborough and back The trikes are sturdy, stylish, and easy to mount thanks to a low step-over height. No booking needed – just roll up, say hello, and Trike It Out!

Cork County Council Library & Arts Service

Bike Week Design a t-shirt competition. To promote cycling as a form of recreation for children & Educate public on bike care and maintenance. Art competition would be promoted throughout the library branch network, as well as directly to Primary schools in Cork County. The children would be invited to submit a drawing, with a cycling related theme, with the chance that each branch winner would have their design printed on a t-shirt for them to keep & Educate workshop attendees on to how care and maintain their bikes.
