An afternoon of mystery and discovery on a bike! Cycle with us to enjoy the delights of West Cork food at beautiful West Cork locations.

 Bike Week Wild Walls Of Cork

Come see & hear the story of miniature natural wildernesses hidden in the cracks & hollows of the walls of Cork. Learn how nature finds a way and thrives even in the heart of the city.

Ready, Set, Cycle! – Learn to Ride Sessions 
Thinking about learning to cycle—or getting back in the saddle after a long break? Ready, Set, Cycle! offers 45-minute one-to-one training sessions with a qualified cycle trainer, tailored to your level and needs. Open to children aged 7+ and adults, these sessions focus on building confidence, balance, and essential cycling skills, with the goal of getting you ready to ride safely on your local Greenway. Sessions will run between 10am and 4pm, and the trainer will be in contact closer to the event date to arrange a time. You can bring your own bike, or we can provide one—just let us know your height when registering. Helmets will also be available if needed. Please note: participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Whether you’re starting from scratch or just need a refresher, this is your chance to gain confidence and discover the joy of cycling in a fun, relaxed environment.

Suitability: This event is open to children (7+), teenagers and adults who fancy giving a trike a go! Whether you’re new to cycling, prefer a bit more stability, or are just curious — come along and try it out. No experience needed, and we’ll have trikes and helmets ready to go. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bike Week Cycle To Crosshaven

A cycle out to Crosshaven out the old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic in Crosshaven before beginning the journey back to the city.

Suitability: Adults. Will be suitable for all those capable of competent road cycling and covering medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes. Will be longer, faster, and involve busier roads and so be particularly suited to more confident cyclists

 Bat Nature Cycle

Relaxed evening cycle out along the Lee Valley as the Sun sets we’ll see the bats come out to forage and we’ll be able to point out what to look for and see them in flight feeding on the midges over the water

Bike Ride to Ballincollig Biodiversity Hub

A ride mainly on quiet roads or on cycle paths to The Biodiversity Hub in Ballincollig Regional Park. Includes refreshments and a tour of the Biodiversity Hub. Total distance up to 25km. Planned return to Cork at 4.30pm-5pm

 Closing Night Cycle of Lights

Join us for an inspiring journey into the night as we cycle around the cycle lanes of Cork City Center at midnight all a glow with free lights to Close Cork Bike Week 2025.
Please deck your bikes out with bike lights, fairy lights etc and will have some extra lights to finish turning your bike into a magical glowing stead.
