Club Supports

Cork Sports Partnership provide the following supports to clubs looking to increase participation in their respective sport. In most cases, this is provided in conjunction with the relevant sport’s National Governing Body.

Action Planning: Cork Sports Partnership provide action planning support to clubs looking to increase participation in their clubs. This seeks to provide clubs with a clear participation roadmap and key actions to ensure they are better placed following an initial support period.

Pillars of the action planning process include administration, increasing participation, education, promotion & sustainability.

Training & Education: Cork Sports Partnership provide clubs with access to subsidised training and education opportunities for clubs, coaches, volunteers, teachers and administrators.

Participation Opportunities: Cork Sports Partnership in conjunction with our partners coordinate club and community-based opportunities for people to get involved in sport. Many of these opportunities are in conjunction with local clubs as identified pathways for continued participation.

Funding Opportunities: Cork Sports Partnership promote available funding opportunities to clubs on an annual basis. These include Local Authority funding schemes, the National Sports Capital Programme and other applicable funds as they become available. While Cork Sports Partnership does not offer an annual grant scheme, funding may be offered/promoted by Cork Sports Partnership on behalf of a partner organisation as funding opportunities become available.

Marketing & Promotion: Cork Sports Partnership provide clubs with the platform and opportunity to promote the great work they are doing in their respective communities to develop participation in sport and physical activity. Cork Sports Partnership actively support clubs to create awareness of participation opportunities, upcoming events and those looking to increase playing membership.
