Walking

Sli @ School - Primary and Secondary Schools

Slí na Sláinte means for Path to Health. The Slí @ School Programme aims to encourage young people to walk more for health and leisure during the school day!

Use your school grounds to their full potential!

What's Involved?

  • Slí @ School will provide a map board of suitable walking routes for students to use during the school day
  • A Sli na Slainte staff member will visit your school to assess and measure the route(s) you wish to create
  • Post-visit, they will work alongside your school, the signage supplier and graphic designer to develop a map board showcasing the route(s)
  • The map board will be delivered to your school ready for display and we will provide ideas to incorporate your Slí @ School routes throughout the school day
  • The map board will display the route(s), distance, time, step count and the national physical activity guidelines for both young people and adults
