Other Inclusion Supports

Cork Sports Partnership is a leading agency in the coordination of sport and physical activity opportunities for people with a disability.

In line with our current strategy, Cork Sports Partnership strive to collaborate with our partners to coordinate quality, meaningful and worthwhile experiences for people of all abilities across Cork City and County to keep active. This work is underpinned by Cork Sports Partnerships core value of inclusion and supports the national vision of active and healthy lifestyles for people with a disability.

Through Active Cork Sport and Active Cork Communities, the Sports Inclusion Disability Programme is implemented which offers a range of sport and physical activity opportunities for people to be active. This is delivered in partnership with National Governing Bodies of Sport, Disability Sport NGBs, local community service providers, community clubs and groups.

Cork Sports Partnership coordinate a range of Inclusive Training and Education opportunities to build capacity for community sports leaders, coaches, volunteers, teachers, SNAs or anyone who seeks to make their activities more inclusive. These training and education opportunities also empower leaders in disability services, community hubs and community groups to upskill, enabling them to offer a variety of physical activity opportunities to children, young people and adults.

Cork SportsAbility is the overarching theme to Cork Sports Partnership Inclusion opportunities. All of the above is guided by the Cork SportsAbility Forum and the Cork Sports Ability Network of partners.
