Sunday 22nd May
Courtmac & Back Cycle
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 11.30am

Meeting Point: Ballinspittle, car park opposite church

Who: Adults. Children 16+ years accompanied by an adult.

Description: Start Ballinspittle, cycle to Courtmacsherry (40km), lunch in the Courtmacsherry Hotel. Cycle back to Ballinspittle. Assistant instructor to cycle between groups. Van option as back up on return in case participants get tired.

Cork Cycling Campaign – Ibop  Disco on Wheels Cycle
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 12.45pm

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Everyone

Description: Ibop premiered in Cork at last years cork bike week and we have ran several Ibops (including Junior Ibops) since. The event involves cycling around the city streets in a cycle bus formation with a speaker in a cargo bike. It’s great fun and 100% family friendly and inclusive.

Family Cycle on the Midleton Cycle Paths
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 11am

Meeting Point: Bailick Car Park, Midleton (near Kindred Spirits: Choctaw Native American Monument)

Who: Families who can all cycle (bikes can be provided for adults & also children aged 9+)

Description: Participants will led by cycle leaders around the cycle paths of Midleton beginning at the car park at Bailick and cycling towards Gaelscoil Mainistir na Corann and along to the Pontoon.

Cork Cycling Festival  – Leisure Cycle to Blarney
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 12pm

Meeting Point: Berwick Fountain, Grand Parade

Who: Everyone

Description: Leisure cycle on the Lee Rd heading out towards Kerry Pike, Tower and Blarney. There will be refreshments there before heading to St Mary waterloo and back to Cork

West Cork Mystery Cycle Buffet

Meeting Point: Meeting on The Bridge (Levis’s Quay), Main St, Skibbereen 

Who: Children, families, adults. All ages (any children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

Description: Mechanics from Cork Community Bikes will thoroughly check your bike and carry out any small repairs as needed. We’ll explain what we’re doing and give advice on looking after your bike, and you’ll have a bike prescription to take away

Cork Community Bikes – Ride To Ballincollig
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 2pm

Meeting Point: Berwick Fountain, Grand Parade

Who: Adults & Families

Description: A ride mainly on quiet roads or on cycle paths to Ballincollig Regional Park. Includes a refreshment break. Total distance up to 25km. Planned return to Cork at 4.30pm

Bike Week Cork Cycle to Crosshaven
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 11am

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Those capable of competent road cycling and covering short/medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes

Description: A cycle out to Crosshaven out the old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic in Crosshaven before beginning the journey back to the city.

Bike Week Cork 4 Cities History Cycle
Date & Time: Sun, 22nd May @ 7pm

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Those capable of competent road cycling and covering short/medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes

Description: A guided cycle through time. From the formation of the earth, the beginning of life, dinosaurs, etc. to the present day. We will stop at various landmarks in time, learn a little about it, get a feeling of the vastness of time and have some fun on the way

Bike Week Cork Closing Party

Meeting Point: The Friary

Who: Adults

Description: A chance to connect socially with the new friends you made at all the bike week events over the last ten days and celebrate the end of bike week. The relaxed social evening with free snacks and lots of fellow cyclists.
