Cork River Cycle | Cork River Alliance Group
A tour to discover river sources around the south of Cork city By combining cycling with the discovery of several Cork rivers sources, we can better appreciate the birth and life of a river. The tour proceeds parallel to the Bandon Road to St James’ cemetery (Glasheen source), before ascending to the back of the airport (Twopot source), then proceeding around the airport perimeter (Tramore source) before dropping down to the Kinsale road (Tramore source). We then retrace our route slightly, before stopping for refreshments. Following this, we descend back to Cork using the old Kinsale road and the cycle path to the Kinsale roundabout. Cycle routes then head east, west and north for each cyclist. Distance 13.3km, Ascent 237m, Descent 239m

Time:  1:30pm-3:30pm

Cork Commuter Bike Fitting & Bike Maintenance
Bike fitting station and bike information with The Bike Fit Physio to help bike owners improve their set up of their commuter bikes. It will also help with simple maintenance jobs for bikes.

Cork City Cycle Tour
To explore the urban landscape of Cork, highlighting its cultural, historical and architectural highlights through an accessible cycle tour. This guided tour takes participants through Cork City, utilising cycle lanes where available while safely navigating streets without them. The tour begins at St Patrick’s Quay and travels anticlockwise around the city, taking in Emmet Place, Shandon, Mardyke Bridge, Shakey Bridge, the UCC Campus, St Finbarr’s Cathedral, Grand Parade and South Mall. The route includes stops at historical sites, public art displays and local attractions, offering insights into Cork’s urban development. A relaxed pace ensures there’s time to learn about the city’s heritage and enjoy the surroundings.

 Harbour Discovery; Guided eBike Tour from Cobh to Cork
Join Cork Bike Hire for Harbour Discovery, a guided e-bike tour from the vibrant town of Cobh to the heart of Cork City. This scenic journey offers breathtaking harbour views, charming coastal villages, and fascinating local history, all brought to life by our knowledgeable guide. We’ll begin our ride on the road, cycling from Cobh to the ferry at Carrigaloe. After crossing the river to Glenbrook, we’ll continue on to Passage West, where we’ll hop on the Cork Harbour Greenway. From there, we’ll ride along the Greenway to the Marina Market, where you can enjoy a short break and take in the surroundings. Thanks to the comfort of e-bikes, this tour is accessible to a variety of cycling abilities, offering the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. All e-bikes and safety gear are provided—just bring your sense of adventure!

Midleton – Youghal Greenway Cycle
A relaxed social of road cycle on the beautiful new Midleton to Youghal Greenway. This cycle will be completely off-road apart from the first few hundred meters on the Grand Parade, it will be slow and easy so is particularly suited to those who are less confident cyclists.You can join us on the Grand Parade at 12 noon or at Midleton railway station at 1:10, Irish Rail is providing a free rail transfer from Kent Station to Midleton Station for cyclists and their bikes free of charge to showcase the ease of traveling by bike and rail.

Brekkie & Bikes – Greenway Spin to Mogeely
Start your Bike Week morning the right way—with a tasty breakfast and a scenic spin! Brekkie & Bites invites you to kick things off at the Midleton Greenway Café before heading out on a guided cycle along the Midleton–Youghal Greenway to Mogeely and back (approx. 16km return). This event is perfect for adults who are comfortable cycling in a group and can manage the distance. To reach the Greenway trailhead (1.3km from the café), participants may either cycle on-road or walk their bikes if preferred. Standard bikes will be provided free of charge, and the ride will be led by a friendly ride leader at a relaxed, sociable pace—with time to enjoy the fresh air, chat with fellow riders, and take in the beautiful East Cork countryside.

4 Cities History Cycle
Visit the many distinct communities that came to form Cork City on your bike and hear the story of their history and unique identity. Don’t forget your bike!! But this cycle is also designed to be suitable for cycling on the TFI bikes.

Free Bike Doctor Session
Learn how to check your bike, spot problems before they are serious and fix simple problems like adjusting brakes, changing brake pads or tubes. Or have me pump up your tyres, adjust your gears and brakes, oil everything and check everything is in safe working order. And all free!

Fix Your Brakes Taster
An intro session on brakes, this will give a better understanding of how they should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike. Feel free to bring your bike along, we will provide bikes for you to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools provided.
