LSP Newsletter 2022

New LSP Highlights Newsletter Launched

The network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs), supported by Sport Ireland, launched a new online newsletter this week, to showcase some of the great work taking place across the Country to development, promote and support participation in sport and physical activity.

The interactive newsletter, which is the first of a number of initiatives planned, aims to increase the awareness of LSPs and highlight the work being coordinated and delivered at local level. Local Sports Partnerships help people to get active by working with identified partners to remove barriers to sport and physical activity and provide opportunities for all ages and abilities to get active.

The Cork highlights featured include the Active Community Awards, the launch of the Active Cities project, a summary of Women in Sport projects in 2022, as well as the recent Walk 21 conference hosted in Cork, SportsAbility Month and the Rebel Run a Mile Challenge.

Speaking about the newsletter, Maurice O’ Sullivan, Sport and Marketing Manager with Cork Sports Partnership (CSP) said ‘CSP welcomes the publication of this national newsletter to showcase the great work and variety of projects being delivered by LSPs across the Country.’ He added ‘We were delighted to work with our colleagues across the LSP network to develop and promote this newsletter and look forward to working with them on future collective campaigns.’
