NEW Hockey4All Programme for Cork

New Hockey4All Programme for Cork

Cork Sports Partnership has teamed up with Hockey Ireland and Munster Hockey to launch a new Hockey 4 All programme for young people with intellectual disabilities this February.

The aim of the programme is to offer young people with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to become part of a local hockey community, keep healthy (socially, mentally and physically) and have fun in a team sport.

The pilot programme consists of 5 weeks of Hockey ID. Hockey ID is the adapted format of hockey for players with intellectual disabilities. Hockey ID is growing in popularity with six teams currently running in Ireland. Hockey ID is now delivered across 20 countries over four continents. During the sessions, coaches will teach the basic skills and rules of the sport. Each session will be fun and dynamic.  No previous experience of hockey is required.

All equipment is provided!
