Bike Week Gallery Cycle Tour 
A guided cycling tour visiting 5 Galleries for a guided tours of their current exhibitions with a reception at the final gallery.

Suitability: will be shorter, slower route and so be particularly suited to less confident cyclists

Bike Week Cycle To Great Island & Cobh 
A cycle out to Great Island out the old railway greenway. Cross on the ferry before cycling around Great Island There will be a break for a picnic in Marlog before beginning the journey back to the city. Longer faster cycle

Suitability: Adults. Will be suitable for all those capable of competent road cycling and covering medium distances including older children under supervision or on their parent’s bikes. Will be longer, faster, and involve busier roads and so be particularly suited to more confident cyclists

Bike Week Evening Collage Making Workshop
A workshop by international renowned collage artist Silvo Servano will guide participants in creating a bike themed collage celebrating cycling and freedom granted by a bike. Materials provided and each participant will have the opportunity to create their own piece of art.

Family Cycling fun In The Fairfield
Family Cycling Fun at the Fairfield, To have fun and games on bikes and cycle around the town with bike doctors to make sure the bikes are working well! Fun for all ages and abilities, an inclusive obstacle course, games, bike doctor and a group cycle around Skibbereen

Fix Your Bearings Advanced Taster
An intro session on bearings, this will give a better understanding of how these should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used.

Bike Week Bike Doc And Bike Maintenance Intro
How to do a quick bike safety and maintenance check and demonstration of a few basic repairs and adjustments as require by participants. To make it easier for people to begin and continue cycling by enabling them to at least spot potential problems on their bike which would otherwise make cycling difficult and so discourage them from continuing cycling and ideally enable them to solve minor problems themselves.

Cork County Council Library & Arts Service
Bike Week Design a t-shirt competition & Bike Sense ‘Cycling for everyone’ workshops. To promote cycling as a form of recreation for children & Educate public on bike care and maintenance. Art competition promoted throughout the library branch network, as well as directly to Primary schools in Cork County. The children would be invited to submit a drawing, with a cycling related theme, with the chance that each branch winner would have their design printed on a t-shirt for them to keep & educate workshop attendees on to how care and maintain their bikes.
