Afternoon Cycle with the Club
Get the youth club members out enjoying cycling and getting fresh air while having fun. We would love to do the same as last year and start off in the marina market is cork and cycle out to passage. Have a break and a picnic and come back at out leisure. We would meet up in Castelmartyr and travel together car sharing, arrive at the Marina bike hire location. Go through the safety talk and pedal away to our hearts content, enjoying the views and challenges along the way.

Bike Week 
To promote the benefits of cycling among the community of Inniscarra, Sunday 12th May Family cycling event commencing in Ballyanly 10am and a guided tour of the parish of Inniscarra. Wednesday 15th Children’s event within the confines of Inniscarra Community Centre. There will be bike tutors on site to ensure safety and advise children on methods of safe  cycling. This year the 4 school in the Parish are invited to get involved and further promote safe cycling and the health benefits. Each of the school are assigned a project which will be presented in the Hall of the Community Centre. McCarthys Cycles, Blackpool will hold a bike workshop on  the Wednesday. will attend

Active morning for Midleton Tidy towns
To get the whole of our group out for an active social event instead of picking weeds for a change!! We will meet in Midleton Bike Hire.  Cycle our new Midleton to Mogeely Greenway.  Have a cuppa from the coffee truck and then cycle back to Midleton.

This will help you be more aware as problems develop and save you money on repairs. Tools will be provided if needed. No problem if you don’t have a bike with you, you can learn from other bikes.

Cork County Council Library & Arts Service
Bike Week Design a t-shirt competition & Bike Sense ‘Cycling for everyone’ workshop x 2/3. To promote cycling as a form of recreation for children & Educate public on bike care and maintenance. Art competition would be promoted thoughout the library branch network, as well as directly to Primary schools in Cork County. The children would be invited to submit a drawing, with a cycling related theme, with the chance that each branch winner would have their design printed on a t-shirt for them to keep & Educate workshop attendees on to how care and maintain their bikes.
