An Oige Leisure Cycle To to Blarney
Date & Time: Thurs, 18th May @ 7pm

Meeting Point: Opera House

Who: Suitable for active cyclists

Description: Leaving from Opera House, Black stone Bridge, Blarney, Station Road. Home via Old Mallow Road and Blackpool. Social evening for participants after cycle with free refreshments and food and distribution of Bike week goodies.

Family Cycling Fun at the Fairfield Skibbereen
Date & Time: Thurs, 18th May @ 6.30pm

Meeting Point: Fairfield, Skibbereen

Who: Children, Families, Adults

Description: Obstacle courses, games, bike doctor and a group cycle around Skibbereen!

Keep On Bikin’ Over 60s Online Bike Info Workshop

Meeting Point: Clonakilty Bike Circus Facebook Live

Who: Older Adults

Description: Over 60 and want to return to cycling? Bike Circus resident octogenarian cyclist presents this programme just for you. To be offered live and on the Bike Circus’ Facebook page. Participants may ask questions and explore the safe options for day tripping and long riding for those who still hear the call of the wild goose.

Leisure Cycle to Great Island & Cobh & Proceeding Bike Doctor
Date & Time: Thurs, 18th May @ 12pm

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Older Children & Adults

Description: A cycle out to Great Island out the old railway greenway. Cross on the ferry before cycling around Great Island There will be a break for a picnic in Marlog before beginning the journey back to the city. Longer faster cycle.

 Fix Your Gears Workshop
Date & Time: Thurs, 18th May @ 6.30pm

Meeting Point: Cork Community Bikes, Assumption Rd, Blackpool

Who: Adults 

Description: An intro session on gears, this will give a better understanding of how these should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used. Bad weather could affect this outdoor event.

We Bike Here, Community Engagement Event | Mayfield
Date & Time: Thurs, 18th May @ 6pm

Meeting Point: Frank O Connor Library, Mayfield

Who: Adults

Description: A community building event for those who cycle in the area and also an opportunity for those who do not cycle to discuss what it’s like as a cyclist in their local area. We will have information on bike maintenance on hand and will discuss basic bike upkeep and bringing a bike back in to use for those who have not cycled in some time as well as having information on non standard bikes such as cargo, trike etc.

Description: Fun games, skills and bike maintenance

Bat Cycle to Ballincollig
Date & Time: Thurs, 18th May @ 8pm

Meeting Point: Grand Parade

Who: Older Children & Adults

Description: In collaboration with biodiversity week. A cycle out to Ballincollig regional park out along the river the Mardyke and Lee Fields. There will be a break for a picnic before the journey back to the city, as the sun sets there will be opportunities for bat watching. Participants will have an opportunity to use a bat detector and a second bat expert guide may be added subject to confirmation
