Fix Your Bearings Advanced Taster
An intro session on bearings, this will give a better understanding of how these should work. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used.

Family Cycling fun In The Fairfield
Cycle sense – Family Cycling Fun at the Fairfield, To have fun and games on bikes and cycle around the town with bike doctors to make sure the bikes are working well! Fun for all ages and abilities, an inclusive obstacle course, games, bike doctor and a group cycle around Skibbereen

Getting our youth members active and enjoying cycling, cubs cycling from Rathcormac to Castlelyons Abbey and back. Scouts & Ventures cycling from Rathcormac to Coole Abbey and back. Beavers learning about bike safety.

Clonakilty Community Bike Project
Bike 4 Work, We source and repair bicycles for recent migrants, and introduce them to the cycling culture in Clonakilty with the intention of supporting integration.

Cork County Council Library & Arts Service
Bike Week Design a t-shirt competition & Bike Sense ‘Cycling for everyone’ workshop x 2/3. To promote cycling as a form of recreation for children & Educate public on bike care and maintenance. Art competition would be promoted thoughout the library branch network, as well as directly to Primary schools in Cork County. The children would be invited to submit a drawing, with a cycling related theme, with the chance that each branch winner would have their design printed on a t-shirt for them to keep & Educate workshop attendees on to how care and maintain their bikes.

Mechanics from Cork Community Bikes will thoroughly check your bike and carry out any small repairs as needed. We’ll explain what we’re doing and give advice on looking after your bike, and you’ll have a bike prescription to take away. Bad weather could affect this outdoor event.
