Description: We invite workplaces, schools & general public to cycle to Fitzgerald’s Park for a free lunch, music, games, goodies & more! Sandwiches for the first 100 cyclists!

Old Railway Leisure Cycle

Description: A cycle out the old railway greenway and around Mahon Strand. There will be a break in Blackrock before beginning the journey back to the city along the Marina

Who: Disability

Description: A wide range of bikes (tricycles, balance bikes, side by side, hand cycles) will be brought to Fermoy so people with disabilities in the locality can try out cycling, with an overall aim to increase cycling numbers in the area

Kinsale Railway Hidden History Cycle

Description: Community evening leisure cycle around Kinsale town to discover the infrastructure and architecture of the Kinsale Railway (1863-1931), an informative talk will be given at each stopping point of interest.

Description: Tales of the Open Road | The Literature of Cycling. Book Launch. Bicycle travel stories are as old as the bike and provide a great library of faraway places as experienced by adventurous young people. Jack will moderate a discussion of the literature featuring cyclist/author John Devoy who will discuss and autograph his epic bike adventure book, Quandam. Launch of The Pushbike’s Companion, the Circus’ bicycle maintenance workbook.

An Oige Leisure Cycle To Kilcrea Abbey

Who: Suitable for active cyclists

Description: Leaving from Opera House to Mardyke , visit St. Olivers Cemetery, Rory Gallaghers Grave and onwards to Kilcrea Abbey, Coffee in Wunderkaffee Faran Return to the City via the cycle path through Ballincollig Park, Iniscarra straight road

Bike the VQ
Date & Time: Wed, 17th May @ 1.30pm

Meeting Point: The VQ

Who: Adults

Description: For 90 minutes Cork Cycling Campaign will have bikes and ebikes available for those who may not have cycled in some time to try. A buddy cyclist will bring them around a set circuit of the VQ followed by a timed ascent of Patrick’s Hill to show that an ebike will flatten most any hill.

Active Retirement Youghal Fun Cycle Trip

Youghal to Redbarn Community Cycle

Description: Cycle from Youghal to Redbarn beach. approximately 2 hours in total. Participants will have all materials provided including electric bikes, safety equipment, two trained cycling facilitators and refreshments.

How to Fix Your Brakes and Punctures for Deaf People 
Date & Time: Wed, 17th May @ 4pm

Meeting Point: Sign & Cycle, Deaf Enterprises, Ballinlough Rd

Who: Deaf People 

Description: This event is specially catering for the Deaf and hard of hearing, but everyone is welcome to join. An intro session on brakes and punctures, this will give a better understanding of how brakes should work, and how we fix punctures. The focus will be on helping you to recognise when there are problems, and this may allow you to fix any issues that come up on your bike, such as punctures. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used. Bad weather could affect this outdoor event.

Description: An intro session on tyres, this will give a better understanding of how these should work. Feel free to bring your bike along, and we may use it for demonstration, and you will have the chance to try out the repair work yourself. We will have materials and tools to work on the bikes used.
