Get Going Get Rowing

Primary and Secondary Schools

Cork Sports Partnership and Rowing Ireland have teamed up to roll out the Cork Primary & Secondary School Get Going…Get Rowing Programme. The school’s programme will run across a limited number of Cork primary & secondary schools throughout the academic year.

The aim of the programme is to introduce 5th and 6th Class Primary School Children and 1st & 2nd Year Secondary School Pupils to the Sport of Rowing in a supportive environment. In return for full commitment to the programme, each school will receive structured coaching sessions by a Rowing Ireland certified Community Coach.

This programme is subsidised by Rowing Ireland and Cork Sports Partnership. This will be payable upon acceptance to the programme.

  • Option: Indoor x 4 sessions – €10 per pupil

About Get Going... Get Rowing

Get Going … Get Rowing is an initiative by Rowing Ireland  to develop and encourage young people in schools and beyond to try indoor rowing. An interactive programme has been developed by Rowing Ireland specifically for teachers and their students to encourage kids to try indoor rowing and benefit from the obvious health and well-being that comes with rowing.
