Sports Inclusion Disability Awareness Workshop For Schools

Cork Sports Partnership in conjunction with Active Disability Ireland are delighted to announce an upcoming Sports inclusion disability awareness workshop as an online training and education opportunity, specifically for teachers and Special Needs Assistants!

Title: Sports Inclusion Disability Awareness Webinar

This is a FREE Webinar aimed at educators (Primary & Secondary School level) who are interested in taking the first step in making their activities inclusive. This 90 minute webinar is designed to create a greater awareness on the area of disability and how to include people with disabilities in sport and physical activity.

What to expect: 

  • An interactive webinar, facilitated via Zoom
  • Topics include:
    • Understanding Disability
    • Perceptions
    • Communication: Language and Etiquette
    • Barriers to participation
    • Inclusion Models to help you adapt

There will be discussion elements throughout the webinar to ensure all participants have the opportunity to share your experience and can ask questions.

Sustainability: This will provide a pathway for those who wish to participate in further training opportunities in the future which include Disability Inclusion Training and Autism in Sport.

Target Group: Any Teachers or SNAs  interested in supporting students with disabilities to be active.
