Cork Parkruns

Cork Sports Partnership, HSE, Cork City Council, Cork County Council and Healthy Ireland have supported a number of local groups and organisations to establish parkrun’s in Cork since 2012.  

Parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km timed run that is a worldwide concept and is rapidly growing here in Ireland. There are 16 parkrun events currently in Cork.

Who can take part?

EVERYONE! Parkrun is open to everyone, free, and is safe and easy to take part in. Events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and people of all abilities are encouraged to take part. To find a parkrun local to you please visit www.parkrun.ie 

How do I register?

Registration is completely FREE and only needs to be done once, whether you intend to walk, jog, run, or volunteer or do a combination of all these things! Simply complete the registration form, print your barcode and head down to your local event.

There are 127 events around the country to choose from. You can find your nearest parkrun using our event map.

What time is it on?

The events all start at 9.30am.

How much will it cost me?

Nothing – Parkruns are FREE weekly events organised by local volunteers.
