Enjoy Tennis

Enjoy Tennis is the Tennis Ireland programme for players with a disability to learn and enjoy playing tennis in clubs. Cork Sports Partnership in partnership with Tennis Ireland are delighted to be supporting the implementation of Enjoy Tennis in Cork.

Tennis for players with a vision impairment / blind:

This is a beginner tennis programme aimed at adults who are blind or have a vision impairment. The weekly sessions will focus on introducing players to tennis and learning key tennis skills in a fun and safe environment. If you have ever wanted to learn the basics of tennis, play, have fun and make new friends then this programme is for you!

  • Date: Thursday 12-1pm
  • Dates Include: Thursday 14th, 21st Oct | 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Nov | 2nd, 9th Dec |
  • Ballinlough Tennis Club (Click here for link on google maps)
  • Supported by Tennis Ireland Enjoy Tennis and Cork Sports Partnership
  • Sessions will be outdoors on a tennis court and indoors will be available depending on weather
  • All necessary equipment will be provided to players. Led by a Tennis Ireland Qualified Coach.

Tennis for players with autism:

Crosshaven Tennis Club in partnership with Cork Sports Partnership and Enjoy Tennis Ireland have developed an inclusive club approach offering opportunities for children with autism to take part in tennis in their local community club.

  • Date: Saturday 11-12pm
  • Commences Saturday 9th October
  • Crosshaven Tennis Club
  • All necessary equipment will be provided to players. Led by a Tennis Ireland Qualified Coach.
